I would like to welcome you to Faculty of Education, Bayero University Kano. The Faculty is one of the oldest faculty in the University which is currently housing six departments. These include: Department of Education, Adult Education & Community Services, Science & Technology Education, Special Education, Physical & Health Education as well as the Department of Library & Information Sciences. The Faculty is blessed with experienced Professors and other lecturers who are highly dedicated and hardworking. It also housed close 9000 undergraduate and postgraduate students with about 124 academic staff, 42 non-teaching staff and 12 Technical staff on ground. Faculty of Education which is popularly called the Home of Professional Teachers has produced a number of prominent people in Nigeria. Teaching is our PRIDE and we shall continue to produce quality teachers at all levels that will serve the country, Africa and the world

The Faculty of Education, Bayero University Kano started as Department of Education under the then Abdullahi Bayero College, Kano which was established in 1962. The Department was affliated to the Faculty of Education, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1977. When Bayero University Kano became a full-fledged University in 1977, the Department was uplifted to the existing Faculty which gradually gave birth to the six Departments viz: Education, Adult Education & Community Services, Science & Technology Education, Special Education, Physical & Health Education and Library & Information Sciences.
All Undergraduate programs have 4 years duration. All Postgraduate programs range between 2 years for masters and 3 years for
PhDs
