The programme is open to those with:
a) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination plus 5 credits at ‘O’ Level including English Language.
b) Diploma, Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), National Certificate in Education (NCE) and Advanced Diploma or equivalent qualifications approved by the university.
Note: candidates who want to read BSc Library and Information Science must have credit in mathematics.
At the postgraduate level, the Department runs Postgraduate Diploma in Information Management (PGDIM), Postgraduate Diploma in Records Management (PGDRM), Masters in Information Management (MIM), Masters in Records Management (MRM), Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), Library Science and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) in Library and Information Science.
